Career coaching for professionals & creatives

Intentional career coaching for transitions, professional development and fulfilment in Amsterdam, Haarlem & online.

Helping professionals take ownership of their career progression and job satisfaction.

As a career coach I work with mid-career professionals and creatives who want to take a more active role in shaping their career. Maybe you're feeling stuck or unfulfilled and you're unsure what's next. Or maybe you know exactly what you want but can't quite figure out how to get there. Whatever brought you here, this is a space to think clearly, get honest about what's really going on, and decide with confidence what comes next.

How career coaching works

Career coaching is a structured reflective and practical process, where we explore your current situation, clarify what you want, understand your strengths and motivations, and make confident decisions about your next steps.

We begin by exploring your values and underlying beliefs, understanding what's really driving your decisions, and where you may be holding yourself back. From there, we design a new career or evolved professional context where you can truly succeed and thrive, achieving results while staying connected to yourself. Finally, we translate this into a clear, practical plan, including resources, potential obstacles, and defined next steps.

This work isn't about guiding you toward a specific path. It's about helping you succeed in a way that fits the life you want to live, whether that means evolving where you are or stepping into something new.

Who is this for?

At third field I offer career coaching to mid–career professionals, entrepreneurs and creatives with a specialisation in creative and design–led industries.

This is for those at a point of reflection, transition or decision in their career, who want to intentionally design a professional life that reflects their values and the full scope of who they are.

This is for you if you are:

  • Considering a career change but feel uncertain about which direction to take

  • Looking for a career that brings both success and fulfilment, aligned with your values, aptitudes and interests

  • Questioning whether to transition or invest more intentionally in your current path

  • Wanting to progress within a corporate environment without losing yourself in the process

  • Navigating increasing responsibility or complexity at work, and want to respond more intentionally

  • A creative who wants to build a career that integrates your creative identity with your values, ambitions and definition of success

  • A creative who is weighing up how (or whether) to work within corporate structures while staying true to your creative identity

  • A creative who feels the tension between creative fulfilment and financial stability, recognition or progression

I also work with organisations looking to support their people in taking a more proactive approach to professional development and internal mobility.

Where you might be right now

At this stage in your career, the questions often begin to shift. Less about what you can do, and more about what you truly want to do, and why. You may feel stuck in a role or professional identity that no longer feels like yours, while still feeling uncertain about what the next step should be. Perhaps you’re questioning whether to make a change entirely, or whether there’s a way to feel more fulfilled within the path you’re already on.

You might feel disconnected from your work, from a sense of purpose, or from the version of yourself you want your career to reflect. There can also be pressure to succeed while quietly questioning what success actually means to you beyond expectation, status or progression.

For creatives especially, there is often tension between fulfilment and security, between creative identity and professional reality. You may find yourself moving between different ideas or directions without knowing which to commit to, or questioning whether the career you truly want is genuinely viable.

At the same time, you may have a deeper instinct pulling you towards something different, but haven’t yet allowed yourself to fully explore it, or simply feel too overwhelmed to know where to begin.

What you will gain

Working together, the focus is on helping you step out of uncertainty and into a clearer, more grounded sense of direction – whether that leads to a new path or a more intentional way of progressing within your current one.

Career coaching supports you to:

  • Stop second-guessing your career choice and commit to a direction and first steps forward

  • Clarify what you want from your career at this stage of your life, and why

  • Decide with confidence whether to pursue a new direction or invest more intentionally in your current path

  • Use your strengths more fully and meaningfully in your work

  • Navigate workplace dynamics and challenges with greater self-trust

  • Progress in a way that feels aligned with what you value

  • Hold both your creative identity and your professional ambitions, without feeling you have to choose

Most importantly, you'll develop a stronger sense of ownership over your career – feeling more intentional, proactive and confident in shaping a path that reflects your values and evolving definition of success. For many, this brings a renewed sense of energy, possibility and optimism.

For organisations, this work supports more engaged, self-aware employees, with clearer goals, stronger ownership of their development, better performance and improved retention.

Wherever you are, the focus is the same: understand what’s happening, align with what matters to you, and take clear, intentional action, so you can design and build a way of working and living that feels fully alive and fulfilling. Here’s what past clients had to say…

FAQs

  • Career coaching is a structured process that helps you gain clarity on your direction, make confident decisions, and take practical steps forward in your career.

As a career coach, I support you in understanding what you want, what drives you, and what may be holding you back. Together, we explore your current situation, clarify your goals, and translate insight into clear, actionable next steps.

This can include navigating a career transition, progressing within your current role, or finding a way to feel more fulfilled and aligned in your work.

  • Career coaching at third field is for professionals, creatives and entrepreneurs who want to take a more intentional approach to designing their career.

Many clients come to coaching at a point where they feel stuck, unclear about their direction, or are questioning what’s next. Others are progressing well on paper but want to feel more fulfilled, aligned or confident in their decisions.

I typically work with mid-career professionals and creatives who are looking for a new more fulfilling career, considering whether to stay in corporate or start their own business, or are struggling to thrive in a corporate environment and are looking for a way to progress without losing themselves.

  • You may benefit from career coaching if you feel stuck in your career, unsure what direction to take, or ready for something to change.

    Common signs include:

Feeling unfulfilled or disconnected from your work

Questioning whether your current path still fits

Struggling to make decisions about your next step

Feeling tension between your ambitions and your values

You don’t necessarily need to have a clear goal before starting. Coaching is a space to figure that out.

  • Career coaching helps you gain clarity, direction and confidence in your career, so you can move forward in a more intentional, empowered way.

    You can expect:

A clearer understanding of what you want and why

    Greater confidence in your decisions

A defined direction and practical next steps

The ability to navigate challenges and workplace dynamics more effectively

Many clients also experience a stronger sense of ownership, energy and alignment in their work.

  • This depends on your goals and starting point, but most clients begin to experience some clarity and helpful insight within the first sessions.

Career coaching is designed as a process rather than a quick fix. While early sessions often bring immediate insights and perspective, meaningful and lasting change typically develops over a number of weeks or months, and a lot of the transformational work happens between sessions. That’s why I work with coaching packages, allowing space to reflect, experiment and integrate new ways of thinking and working over time.

  • We start our coaching relationship with setting out an initial trajectory based on the goals or desired change you have brought. At the start of each session, we double check if we want to go with the planned trajectory or explore something that is more relevant for you in that moment. This could be a specific challenge, decision or broader theme in your career.

Through thoughtful questioning and reflective tools, we clarify what’s really going on, identify patterns or assumptions, and explore new perspectives. From there, we define concrete next steps or actions. Each session is tailored to you but always aims to move you forward towards your desired goal.

  • Career coaching is a structured process of reflection and a professional partnership designed to support your professional development. Through structured conversations coaching helps you gain clarity, generate insight, and take action toward meaningful goals. The coaching process is client-led. You determine the focus of sessions, set your goals, and decide what actions you wish to take.
Mentoring on the other hand typically involves expertise sharing and guidance based on someone else’s experience.

  • I work with professionals across a range of industries, with a particular focus on creative and design-led environments.

My background in the global fashion industry means I have a deep understanding of both corporate and creative contexts, and the dynamics, expectations and challenges that come with them.

That said, the core themes we work on – intentional career choices, value-led business growth, conscious leadership with integrity – are relevant across many professional backgrounds. The most important thing in a coaching relationship is trust and the quality of the relationship so the chemistry between us is more important than our professional backgrounds for the success of our collaboration.

  • Yes, career coaching is particularly valuable during periods of transition.

Whether you’re considering a career change, exploring a new direction, or unsure what your next step should be, coaching helps you clarify your options and make decisions with confidence.

We focus on understanding your current context, what you want next, and how to move forward in a structured and intentional way.

  • Yes, career coaching is just as valuable if you want to grow within your current role or organisation.

Many clients are not looking to change careers, but want to:

feel more fulfilled in their work

progress in a way that aligns with their values

navigate challenges or increasing responsibility more effectively

Coaching helps you shape your current path in a more intentional and sustainable way, not just change direction.
